Celebrating 25 Years of Court Care at YWCA South Florida

This year’s Court Care Cocktail Party marked a significant milestone for our organization. The gathering and hall of fame induction was a 25th-anniversary celebration for the annual event and the essential services it celebrates. However, it was your presence and support that made it truly unforgettable.Celebrating our history. Working toward our future. Twenty-five years ago, YWCA South Florida opened the first drop-in childcare center in a Miami-Dade County courthouse. This groundbreaking initiative provided a vital resource for women, enabling them to advocate for themselves in court proceedings while protecting their children from courtroom trauma. Today, we're immensely proud to have expanded our Court Care Program to five courthouses and additional virtual services, reaffirming our commitment to supporting families and fostering a more just society.Additionally, we want to congratulate the esteemed individuals inducted into our Hall of Fame during the event: Alan Goldfarb, Manny Kadre, Gerald Kornreich, Caroline Lovino, Eric Isicoff, Teresa Ragatz, Michael Diaz Jr., Robert Zarco, Alan J. Kluger, Ed Blumberg, Richard Milstein, Amber Kornreich, Alex Brito, Sandi Perez, Jeffrey Bass, John Genovese, Phil Shechter, Hon. Joel Brown, Judge Bertila Soto, Judge Lisa Walsh, Judge Carroll Kelly and Chief Judge Nushin G.
