YWCA South Florida is joining Miami Leadership Local to boost upward mobility for struggling workers

YWCA South Florida is committed to tackling the critical issue of affordable housing for women and families in Miami. Our collaborative efforts with various South Florida organizations were recently highlighted in a Miami Herald article, shedding light on our joint mission to provide secure housing solutions and empower women to build sustainable livelihoods. The volunteer initiative, Miami Leadership Local, launched last week at a standing-room only conference and workshop in a Brickell skyscraper, is meant to generate discussion and concrete ideas to boost economic mobility across the county — and to hold the participants to their promises. Our President & CEO, Kerry-Ann Royes, had the opportunity to attend the conference alongside Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and local leaders at Bilzen Sumberg in Miami on Friday, October 27, 2023.For a deeper understanding of the initiative and a conference recap, read the full article from the Miami Herald today.
