YWCA South Florida’s Court Care & KidSpace provide free virtual and onsite child-care nurturing environments while their parent or legal guardian attend a virtual or onsite domestic violence, family, civil, and criminal-related court proceeding or filing.
Our trained, qualified YWCA staff supervise children ages 6 months to 13 years old, thanks to a partnership between the YWCA South Florida Inc. and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida and Broward County.
Our team is ready to assist with child care and help prepare you for your virtual court hearing. We provide technical assistance and coaching for virtual platforms and provide virtual meetings etiquette tips. Check out our virtual tips.
If you are connecting virtually to your court proceeding our staff is here to engage your children in age appropriate virtual activities.
Additionally, our staff is always available to provide support services and referrals for other needs and connect you to the various services that YWCA South Florida offers to the community.
We also offer KidSpace drop in or virtual child care at the Broward County Central Courthouse. Open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Broward County KidSpace is open to children by referral only through the Domestic Violence office.
