The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade invites you to its upcoming unveiling of the Gender Equity Index. The Gender Equity Index (GEI) measures progress toward equity for women and girls in Miami-Dade County, and its goal is to drive collaboration in the advancement of gender equality. The event includes an opening reception, followed by a fireside chat with The Miami Herald’s Nancy Ancrum, and a panel discussion with leaders from four different industries, including YWCA South Florida’s president & CEO, Kerry-Ann Royes, to discuss how the Gender Equity Index and overall having access to gendered data is valuable to their work and making Miami-Dade County a more equitable community. The GEI provides essential data to inform and assist policymakers and the broader community in improving gender equality.
