YOU MADE THE NIGHT!
Your presence at last night’s First But Not The Last Celebration was just what we needed. Great friends, meaningful conversation and a fabulous time. You helped to make our second annual event memorable, and we are grateful for your support!
Thank you to our sponsors, community partners, and staff members who made last night’s event possible.
And a HUGE congratulations to our 2022 First But Not The Last inductees!

DID YOU TAKE A SPIN ON THE 360 BOOTH?
Based on these 360 photo booth pictures, you all had a great time! View the video library to find and download your 360 video! A special thank you to Jackson Health for being our photo booth sponsor!
WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT GIVING CIRCLE
Couldn’t make it last night? Wanted to give, but you were busy dancing the night away? No worries. You can still become a founding member of YWCA’s Women’s Empowerment Giving Circle! This fund is essential to have the resources available to women focused on financial literacy, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and more. Individuals who join will be invited to a special Breaking Bread Luncheon with the women enrolled in YWCA’s WE360 program.
JASON JENKINS MAN-KIND AWARD
In addition to inducting six new honorees this year, YWCA South Florida honored Jason Jenkins, who died unexpectedly earlier this month. Jenkins, an executive with the Miami Dolphins, was also a respected board member of YWCA South Florida and passionate about its mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Voted unanimously by the YWCA’s board, one of the awards was officially named the Jason Jenkins Man-Kind Award to honor the fellow board member whom many considered a dear friend and community icon. The inaugural award was presented to Greg Adam Haile, J.D., president of Broward College, the first Black professional to serve in this role, and a friend of Jason’s.
A very special shout-out to our co-chairs, Barbara Fonte and Mayela Rojas Sánchez, and our event hosts (Rosy Lopez, Dexter Bridgeman and Yolanda Valencia) for making this a night to remember!
