Miami-Dade County Government recently declared the month of August as Black Business Month! Multiple events throughout the month celebrate Miami’s Black business community, which is a vital contributor to South Florida’s economy. In just our county, BOBs make up 51,285 businesses and employ 12,227 individuals!
“During Black Business Month, local government officials, community leaders and venture capitalists are encouraged to focus efforts on supporting Black-owned businesses and creating a more hospitable environment in which Black-owned businesses can grow. Black businesses are essential to the people and communities they serve and operate in.” – Miami-Dade County
